The first network meeting will take place from March 17 to 19, 2026 at the IDS Mannheim, Germany. 

Prof. Dr. Simona Pekarek Doehler (Université de Neuchâtel) has been invited as the keynote speaker. Prof. Dr. Arnulf Deppermann (IDS Mannheim) will serve as discussant for the meeting.

Overview:

The first meeting will take an exploratory approach, focusing on building a shared understanding of the concept of „uncooperativeness“. The members will take a conversation-analytic perspective, working toward conceptualizing uncooperativeness by identifying potential phenomena and examples of uncooperative practices and actions in their data sets, and by describing how interactants orient to and deal with them.
